Request For Leave During Term Time

Parents are discouraged from withdrawing their children from school during term time due to the negative impact it may have on their attainment and progress. Headteachers may only authorise leave in term time in exceptional circumstances. Parents who believe that their circumstances are exceptional are asked to complete the ‘Application for Leave During Term Time Form’, which can be found below, explaining their reasons to assist the Headteachers decision. Parents who withdraw their children for unauthorised leave may be subject to an Educational Penalty Notice issued by the Local Authority.
